As the old saying goes, you should never judge a book by its cover, and this certainly applies in the case of our latest read titled Buckingham by John Schroeder.

At a first glance, this hearty paperback book could easily be mistaken for one of the many books written by cat lovers about the antics of their beloved feline companions, often appealing to the most ardent of cat lover.

However, Buckingham is different. Buckingham is a story, that combines a heady mix of fantasy and reality and is quite unique in its structure.

Cat Buckingham features on the front cover of this book, and he's a very special cat for sure. Buckingham is owned by Angela Tillsworthy, who quickly discovers his magical therapeutic powers. After making this amazing discovery, Angela sets up a company called Cozy Cats Cottage plc, with Buckingham as the chairman, and sets about helping others with his special gift.

At 264 pages, Buckingham is a book of substance and an ideal book to pack for the beach this summer. Be prepared to be mentally whisked away by this book, which is fast-moving, often funny, intriguing and absorbing. Buckingham is written by John Schroeder, a music producer who has worked with stars such as Cliff Richard, Status Quo, Helen Shapiro and The Shadows.

As well as being a creative and talented music producer, John is a true cat lover, and Buckingham was written to celebrate the joy cats have brought to him over the years.
