A compact guide for pet owners who travel by car and want to take their dog along too. This little RAC book is a useful guide to taking your dog in the car and would be a very useful gift for someone who is perhaps getting a dog for the first time, but wants to hang on to the ability to get around the place, but now with their canine companion.
The book looks at the matter of safety when carrying a dog in a car (the importance of securing your dog, which so many people seem to think is not important) and looks at products to facilitate taking a dog in a car such as cages and harnesses and even ramps designed for dogs that have movement problems. Canine health matters such as motion sickness and stress, amongst others, are looked at. There is also a section on how to exercise your dog when on a journey and some ideas for taking dogs on other modes of transport. A handy book to keep at home when planning a journey with your dog, and to have in the car, to refer to when you are out and about.
